Homemade Hummus

It`s one of those things that is so easy to make yet we all just buy it! Do your self a favor and make a batch  - It`s Delicious!! First buy a can of Chick peas (garbanzo beans) forget about peeling them - a lot of work and not a big difference.

1 can of chick peas
2 cloves of crushed garlic
olive oil
salt and pepper
optional :smoked paprika, tahini ( sesame paste) lemon juice, parsley

Strain chickpeas and place in blender or food processor, give it a spin, add garlic, salt & pepper and enough olive oil to get the desired consistantcy. Now taste - it`s all a matter of taste, do you want more salt and pepper? Is it smooth enough? I like my chunky but if you don't add more olive oil. The sesame paste adds an additional flavour and now is the time to decide should I buy that for my next batch? Maybe some lemon juice? Fresh parsley...the list of ingredients can be endless.
If you are happy with the taste, spoon it in to a small dish  and swirl olive oil on top with a dash of paprika. Enjoy with pita, crackers or cut up veggies.
