Trattoria Lanni

The comfortable interior of a trattoria is noticed immediately, checkered table clothes, desserts on display and a view of the chef. We began with a complementary sample of their pizza topped with chopped fresh tomatoes and basil, the thin crust was delicious! There was a nice selection for table d'hote including appetizer, main, dessert and coffee. I started with a Tasty pureed vegetable soup, it was creamy and full of green vegetables like asparagus and broccoli with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese on top. I followed with a huge cold seafood salad that had marinated veggies like red peppers & eggplant, tiny scallops, calamari, mussels and a variety of crisp lettuce. The dressing was heavy for my taste but the combination of flavours were pleasing. We finished with a panettone cake that was extremely moist.
