Bar a Vin, Bordeaux, France

Bar a Vin

I recently visited some pretty terrific places while in Europe for a couple of weeks.  The first was an incredible wine bar in Bordeaux, France called Bar a Vin .http://baravin.bordeaux.com
It was a chic little spot with a nice selection of cosy chairs to enjoy fantastic and cheap, 2-3 euros, generous pours of Bordeaux wine. It's a tasting bar so in each glasses is more than enough wine to see if you like it or not. The Sommelier recommended our wine starting with white and moving into a bold red. He also suggested we share the wine and marked the name on the bottom of the glasses so we could discuss them. Both we Great ideas!!
Usually there is cheese, bread and a selection of cured meats to have with your wine but it been very busy and the food was gone.(Be advised there will be a short wait but the bar is open from 11am to 10 pm Monday-Saturday so there is plenty of time to plan a visit)
Bar a Vin is a great opportunity to try the local wines without committing to a full bottle. It a fun place, packed full of the young and old alike, who enjoy a good glass of wine.
5 mmm's out of 5
