Homemade pizza dough, Very Easy!

If you happen to own a Kitchen Aid mixer this recipe will become one of your favorites. I make pizza very often and because this dough does not need to rise, you can make the dough, put on the toppings and cook it in under a half hour. I have made my own sauce but I am just as happy with a store bought pizza sauce, try a few and find one you like. The toppings are what ever you have in the fridge. Peppers sauteed in garlic, olive oil and oregano, cooked Italian sausage, left over meat balls, caramelized onions or a combo of shredded cheeses. Remember it is the crust that is the star!! ;)

Preheat oven to 450 F

3/4 cups Warm water
1 Tbsp active dry yeast ( 1 pkg)
1 tsp sugar
1 1/2 cups flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 Tbsp olive oil

Light spray or oil a pizza pan. Run the bowl under Hot water and Dry, combine warm water, sugar and yeast. Stir and cover with a towel. Let sit until the yeast activates( it gets foamy) about 5 minutes. Add the flour, salt and olive oil. If using a Kitchen Aid, mix until combined. cover a work surface with flour and knead the dough, mixing in additional flour until the dough is smooth and no longer sticky. Add more flour to your work surface and roll out the dough to fit you pizza pan. Add your sauce, toppings and cheese. Bake for 10 - 15 minutes until nicely brown.
