Vinizza Osteria, Downtown Montreal - Lunch review

Vinizza (Downtown) on Urbanspoon

Vinizza Osteria is a trendy Italian restaurant right in the heart of Montreal, Little Italy at your finger tips, - Does it get any better than that? The restaurant had plenty of business people enjoying a lunch /table d'hote menu but I chose from their main menu.
We were given wonderful Breads, a combination of olive and white, plus a good quality olive oil for dipping them in. I sampled a Popette Della Nonna, meat ball al pomodoro. Any thing that has Grandma's name in it should always be tasted, that's just a rule. One huge meat ball is served perfectly seasoned, covered in a scrumptious tomato sauce with a generous amount of Parmesan cheese and fresh basil. ( I used the remainder of my bread to soak up the tomato sauce, So good!)
I shared a mixed green salad with a fantastic mustard vinaigrette and a beautiful thin crust Salsiccia pizza. The sauce was more of that unbelievably tasty pomodoro tomato sauce. The pizza was covered with fresh Mozzarella, mouth watering good sausage, strips of roasted red peppers and Parmesan cheese. The meal was outstanding and each dish was generous enough to share, so the cost became affordable for Lunch.  4 1/2 mmm's out of 5
